University of Toronto - Pi
The 4th year class all dressed up for the annual Pi Chapter Formal
The University of Toronto Pi Chapter is in the midst of an amazing year with an ideal balance of great academic, philanthropic and social activities. We have held over 20 exam review sessions and seminars in various academic subjects ranging from 1st year Oral Anatomy Mock "Tooth ID" exams to Sunday seminars for senior students on topics such as "Local Anesthetic Considerations for the Endodontic Patient" and a hands-on suturing technique seminar. In the meantime we've managed to find time for BBQ's at the AO house, attendance at the annual Fraternity night dinner with the alumni and capped off 2007 with a great Chanukah Party with lots of latkes and dreidel contests!!
In the upcoming month the Pi Chapter will be hosting its annual Formal at Adath Israel Synagogue. This year's event will be attended by close to 150 student and alumni members and their guests. As part of the formal each year, the Pi Chapter hosts an annual Charity Raffle to raise money for the AO Foundation. With prizes including Raptors tickets, jewellery, electronics, gift certificates and a grand prize plasma TV, we hope to raise over $2000 for Foundation this year. Coming up this month we are also hosting the first ever Raptors Night where 75 members will attend a game and cheer on Toronto's NBA team to a victory!
